Event Final
The final of the Mens' Triples final was played in good conditions on Thursday 8th March between Graeme Davis, Janette Gallasch, and Peter Gallasch, and Jean Kydd, Peter Wood, and David Smith. With brilliant leading from Jean Kydd, David's team was in control throughout the game and ran out worthy champions.
Thursday 1st March saw two events finalised. They were both played in drizzling rain but to the credit of the players, no complaints were heard. In the 'B' Singles Championship, David Smith proved to be the Champ for 2011/12 with a convincing win over Fred Forde, whilst in the 100 up, Peter Woods scored a comfortable win over Kevin Stevens. Considering the conditions some remarkable bowls were put down. On one end in the 100 up, Peter was 10 down and with his last bowl took out most of the bowls to finish 9/1 up, an astonishing 19 shot turnaround !

Saturday 18th February saw the final (14th) round of Pennant , and in the clubrooms on Saturday night there was a great mix of happy and unhappy faces. Our Division 3 team were elated at winning easily over Traralgon to secure the double chance in the finals, but the happiest faces were from our Division 6 players who overwhelmed Boolarra to gain 3rd on the ladder by just 2 points. Unfortunately both Division2 and Division 4 were whitewashed and just miss out on the finals. Go Division 3 and Division 6 !!!.
The B Grade singles is now down to the final two and either David Smith or Fred Forde will be our new B Champion. Congrats.
Round 13 of Pennant was again a mixed one for the club. Our top team (Div.2) had a resounding win over the highly placed Yinnar outfit and notched up an 18/0 victory. They play Neerim next Saturday, win they are in the finals, lose and they may still make it. Div.3 had an extremely hard fought win over Yallourn 3 taking 14 points to 4. They remain in second spot and a win over Traralgon 3 next Saturday will see them with a double chance in the finals. Lose and they drop to third. Div. 4 lost badly to leaders Trafalgar 2 and are in a very tight fight to make the finals. Division 6 also lost badly and are in a three way fight for third position.

Round 12 of pennant was played in very warm and fine conditions on Saturday 4/02/12. For Warragul it was a very mixed bag. Division 2 journeyed to Morwell to take on the bottom team. They came home with their tail between their legs, going down by 7 shots. They are now out of the four, and with two extremely hard games against Yinnar and Neerim to come, they will have to get their act together to figure in the Finals. Division 3 were home to Morwell Club 2 and won every rink in a 52 shot win. They are currently second and are assured of a finals berth, just what position depends on the next games against Yallourn and Traralgon. Division 4 had a 16/2 win over neighbours Drouin to rise to second position. Two hard games to come against Trafalgar and Traralgon will determine whether they play in the Finals, but they are looking the goods. Division 6 had a bad loss 10/0 at Garfield and their finals campaign is looking precarious, but they can do it. Check the ladders for more information.

Division 6 went down to top side, Morwell 3, but are still well in the hunt. Check the ladders for all divisions.

A reality check for all our winning teams of the first round with Division 2 only getting one point at Garfield, Division 4 only one point at Morwell, and Division 6 only 2 points at Garfield. The one bright spot was Division 3 doubling Yallourn North's score and getting all 18 points.
