Sunday November 15th 2009 saw our clubrooms transformed into a sea of colour and happy faces as our VLBA section celebrated their 70th Birthday.

       Over 120 Guests and Members attended including representatives of most clubs in the GDLBA, Cr Barbara White from the VLBA, and President Fay Minter of the GDLBA.
       Many of the attendees enjoyed a game of bowls on our new synthetic green before the official celebrations began. 
       Our President, Gwenda Mason welcomed all the guests, particularly the older ex members, of whom there were many.

      Pictured above are some of the highlights of the afternoon. The Birthday cake was spectacular being made of individual cup cakes all decorated with flowers. 
      Many members contributed to what was a very happy celebration. President Gwenda should be proud of the way the day turned out.
